Creative Flow comes from practice and taking the time to sit with your work and your ideas. This weekend will be exactly that. dedicated to surrender, deep listening, observing and paying attention. The world looks a lot different when we sit still in it with presence to your work.
This 2 days long summer art immersion will bring you time in the studio , dedicated to your practice, exploration in different mediums and having time to grown, play explore, trial and error and make some beautiful work. Diving into work with drawing and clay, developing new work while allowing time to slow down and let us play and explore. Our Artist studio a quiet retreat from the outside world and distraction.
All levels welcome
Everyone will have a dedicated area where you will be working each day, the stations might get swop on day 2 so everyone gets a different perspective and light.
all clay and drawing materials are included, but as this is not a lesson in painting or drawing everyone is welcome to also bring their own personal materials and tools
personal time with me, I will take time with each one of you to give you 1:1 guidance and support, feedback
Lunch time breaks will allow to explore local incredible restaurants and thriving food markets, and for anyone who wish to socialise in the evenings we might head for wine or joint dinner on Saturday. (*not obligatory or included in the price. you are free to make your own plans outside studio ours)

*drink / dinner - this is not obligatory and not included in the retreat price.

It would include all materials.
A Selected amount of pieces will be fired and glazed for you.
If you want you could attend a glazing session at a later time and glaze pieces as part of a glazing class we could arrange a date depending on demand.

Our Touch and Feel London retreat, is suitable for all levels, its a great introduction to hand building with clay and perfect if you’re a complete beginner – and if you have some more experience there’s so much to build on. This retreat gives you a perfect opportunity to drop deeper if you would like to really give it a proper try or a kick start to pick up where you have left. Its wonderful for anyone when you feel like returning to the practice and a great way to go deeper.
Its a perfect retreat from the outside wold and every day life, as we will really create our own bubble and explore hand building, sculpture, ceramics and also a life nude drawing and painting session, one thing leads to another and all different approaches are connected and inspire one another.

WHAT TO EXPECT
I like to keep classes to a minimum, up to 6 - 8 people per group to ensure a relaxing and rewarding experience for all.
In this 3 day workshop you will be shown three different hand-building techniques as well. as Kurinuki a sculptural Clay carving teqnique.
You are welcome to play and experiment as much as you like within those days. Then we ask you to choose your favourite pieces for us to process for you. We glaze your pieces in our Snow White dipping glaze and fire everything for you. if you would like to keep more pieces we can discuss additional cost. Additional glazing classes are available upon request or depending on availability.
COLLECTION
Classwork is usually ready in 5-8 weeks. We will notify you by email and you can pop by the studio to collect your pieces.

SUMMER SCHOOL
WEEKLY DROP IN CERAMIC CLASSES & 5 WEEK HAND-BUILDING COURSE
This workshops will be though by either Ana Kerin, or Imogen Head
Drop in classes are for all levels, come as you are
this Classes are 2h long
Join in for one, come weekly, or when schedule allows you
you will be supported by the tutor to work on the project of your choice
5 week course is thought over 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings , 2.5h sessions , perfect for building fundation or working on bigger projects

In this two and a half hour workshop you will be shown three different hand-building techniques pinching, coiling and press moulding.
You are welcome to play and experiment as much as you like within these two hours. Then we ask you to choose your favourite two pieces for us to process for you. We glaze your pieces in our Snow White dipping glaze and fire everything for you. if you would like to keep more pieces ( up to 5 ) you can choose a higher tier ticket for £85.
COLLECTION
Classwork is usually ready in 4-6 weeks. We will notify you by email and you can pop by the studio to collect your pieces.
Unfortunately once we have notified you, we can not keep items for longer than two weeks due to limited storage. If the pieces wont be collected 1 month after the initial collection email they will be removed.

Students can keep 1 medium and 2 small pieces , or 2 medium size pieces

This is a 5 week Hand Building Immersion its a step up developed from Our Touch and Feel Drop In sessions. This is a great introduction to hand building with clay and perfect if you’re a complete beginner – and if you have some more experience there’s so much to build on. And this 5 weeks Immersion will give you a chance to try either different techniques or deepen your knowledge and technique.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We like to keep classes to a minimum, up to 5/6 people per class, to ensure a relaxing and rewarding experience for all. Keeping classes small means you get a lot of 1:1 tuttoring and you get a lot more from this workshops.
In this 5 session of 2 and a half hour workshop you will be shown many different hand-building techniques pinching, coiling, press moulding, slab building and Kurinuki. You will be given opportunity to wither follow along building a project each week following one of the techniques , or alternatively you can focus on technique and projects you would like to develop confidently and continue working on something over the weeks with my assistance, mentoring and help.
You are welcome to play and experiment as much as you like within these two hours. Then we ask you to choose your favourite two pieces for us to process for you. We glaze your pieces in our Snow White dipping glaze and fire everything for you. There will be additional glazing session available to book as an add on.
COLLECTION
Classwork is usually ready in 3-5 weeks. We will notify you by email and you can pop by the studio to collect your pieces.
Unfortunately once we have notified you, we can not keep items for longer than two weeks due to limited storage.

Depending on a scale of your project the amount of pieces is to be measured as 1 shelf in the kiln
