For our new series of nourishing Kana Living we have invited our friend Alex from 26 Grains, to join us for a 3 week clay workshop where we will make our very own piece of ceramics for your favourite morning rituals. 

This is time for you and for doing something good for yourself. Your bowl will be your grounding rock every morning when you take your time to have a quite moment for yourself before the rush of the day takes over. 

Alex on 26Grains:

"At 26 Grains we believe porridge is something that both is social and individual. Social in the way that it can feed many and easily and individual in the ritual that can surround it as well as coming to understand it's seasonal pairings. It's is about finding the time to make it in the morning, conscious rather than overlooked. It's is steeped in tradition, cooked all over the world in different forms and we want to celebrate this attention to detail, vast flavour combinations and making time for yourself by coming together with Kana to create the breakfast set/bowl that pairs with your porridge."

Session 1 MAKING 

We will look into the perfect porridge serving vessels, and make from clay of your choice a bowl that will be your perfect size and shape.

Session 2 GLAZING 

Talking about the importance of spices and combinations in creative, nourishing and healing recipes and how to choose the perfect colour for your bowl.

We will glaze your bowls

Session 3 COOKING 

We will provide cooking hobs, and many exciting, traditional and challenging experimental ingredients to cook some very delicious porridges.

Everyone will get a recipe card to take home and keep as inspiration for their (new) morning rituals.
